Are you ready for this?

If anyone is still reading the blog, I hope you are or you won't hear about this weeks awesome twist, than this is for you. For those of you who don't, your bad and your loss! I hope you are all prepared, the next 2 weeks may be a bit tough!

For the next TWO weeks you will receive DOUBLE POINTS for weight loss. That's right for every ONE POUND you get FOUR POINTS! This may be a really good incentive for some, or just a pain I am not sure. I am hoping an incentive. Hopefully this will help keep people interested. The blog comments are dwindling, and some points are shrinking, so with this weeks challenge I hope to spice it up a bit and re-motivate everyone!

PLEASE don't be afraid to talk about your progress, your challenges, your success, what drives you etc. This blog is for everyone participating and it is only our family that reads it. I think it will help not only you but the other participants to succeed if they can hear how others are doing. If you don't have a google account (CHRISTINE) get one, it honestly takes seconds and then you can comment on every one's blogs. If you are unsure how to get one, shoot me an email and I will help you. If you have any ideas or desires on how to shake up the comp and make it more exciting here and there, let me know. I am happy to include anything!

Good Luck this week and have fun racking up the double points!

I, for one, love reading the blog and hearing how everyone is doing. SO KEEP commenting. We were talking about going to ice cream tonight but are reconsidering because we want some extra points this week. Especially if we have any hope of catching Team D. Hey Ellen, haven't you thought of a better name yet? How about The Triple Threat? Anyway I think maybe your team should get docked a team point for every week you don't come up with a name. You could be so creative as to change your name to the D Team. Haha!!! Seriously, I am very proud of everyone. Keep up the great work!

Too funny! That would be really original, the A-Team and the D-Team. Brandon made cookies last night and I resisted. I didn't even taste one! I have some serious lbs I need to drop and I have to make up for my teams LACK of points by scoring with some doubles! We will see how today goes, it is a work day and I tend to "reward" myself with a treat on those days, maybe I will "reward" myslef with a sweet run instead..or a few hours of TV.

I've got it Ellen!! Your team name should be Ellen's Double D's (which of course stands for DEDICATION and DETERMINATION).

I hope this gives me more incentive I have really had a hard time with the exercise thing and now I'm having problems with my back. So not exactly perfect timing for me, but I wish everyone else good luck. I'm sure we will see BIG #'s start rolling in.

I think I agree with the docking points thing. The rest of us have put our heads together for some effort of a name. Come on guys get creative.

Okay. I succumbed to the pressure of you bloggers. I signed up.. (Can I get extra points for that? You know the Crushers could really use some extra points!) Believe it or not, this competition is really doing me some good. Okay the dp (diet pepsi) gets the best of me about 5 days out of the week--yes that would be most every work day :)..gotta get comfort somehow! However, I do pretty good with the sweet treats..except of course on the days I DON'T work. But hey my treat cupboard is nearly bare and that is progress in the Williamson household!!! Anyone who has been to my house knows that!! I do have to say that I felt quite successful after reading Brandon's personal blog about last week. Oh and btw I have lost 11 lbs to date!! Something is working! I am ready for the extra incentive this week.. here is my success story for today 2pm auditors are in the office, managers have been knocking on my door all day even though it was closed, trying to prepare for a big inspection/review tomorrow, break time need air...go to kitchen open treat cupboard (yes my work has one of those evil locations as well), see Boston Baked Beans--they are beans a healthy treat right? Fill a cup full of the yummy things, walk back to office with cupfull, pick up one tiny little bean..it won't hurt right? turn it over in my fingers...look it over carefully, remember that 2 lbs I lost last week, put the yummy little thing back in the cup and set it aside.
Yes!!!success no beans for me today!!!!!

Okay so Christine is not the only one getting grief for not commenting but I am as well. GOOD JOB CHRISTINE on not giving in to the temptation of "yummy boston baked beans". We are glad that someone came up with this idea to work on getting healthier. I do have to admit that I actually feel better since we started this six weeks ago. I have really tried to eat healthier and to my amazement i have not given in to the sugary treat at all since we started this. Imagine me (you can all tell by my size that I definitely enjoy my sweets) not having have a cookie, a piece of cake, ice cream, candy or any other sweet treat. I look forward to Mondays and reading the blog, then checking back thru the week to read the comments. Thanks Rachel and Christine for maintaining the points and the blog. I will try and comment a little bit more as the time goes on. GOOD JOB EVERYBODY!!!!! LOVE YOU ALL!!!!!!!

P.S. Hey Ellen I agree it is time that you guys came up with a team name.

I guess you can teach an old dog new tricks. High 5 to you lovely ladies for commenting (you know who you are). I do have to give Aunt Christine props for resisting the temptation when its staring you right in the face. Mom you amaze me!!! I strugle going a week or two with out some kind of a treat. GOOD JOB!!! P.S. if any one wants to tempt Brandon apparently sugar cookies work wonders.

Alright our team name is D'team to Beat. How is that and Diane we all know it wasn't my bra size that you were commenting on with the double d's. As for my experience with the boston baked beans- I ate three boxes of them this weekend so way to go Christine! I know I can't resist those tasty little things. You guys are all doing so awesome. Keep it up! Karl is still on light duty for exercise so we won't be seeing any big numbers this week either.

o.k. this is Karl. I am soooooo.... glad that we are doing this. It was just the push I needed to get things going. The doctor said I had to work back into things slowly and not get all crazy. So you really don't need to send a hit man to take me out(Diane or Susan?) I have also been enjoying multiple servings of my birthday cake that Ellen made for me. It was good. I am glad though that I work in a sterile, dry, work environment where people would never bring me treats or wonderful sugar cookies. Glad to hear that everyone is doing so well. I really enjoyed "Brandon's Thoughts". Keep up the good work to all those who are dedicated to the cause.

Ellen was the one that wrote the last line and Karl didn't want to have anyone thinking that he was picking on them. That wasn't my intention either. It is awesome that people are showing results from changing small habits. I know I have not had as many headaches and if I have they don't last as long as before the challenge. You are all an awesome family!
